Rob Holtom - Technical Adviser and Senior Project Manager

I've been Technical Director at MOCEAN Professional Ltd since 2012, and have been responsible for delivering challenging offshore engineering and construction projects in West Africa, the Caspian Sea, Middle East, the North Sea and most recently in the US.

My goal is to establish growth cultures in which curiosity is encouraged and innovation enabled; where the needs of organisations are resolved with solutions that reflect our Environmental, Social and Governance values. 

With over 14 years’ management experience, I’ve established a record of technical excellence across a broad spectrum of disciplines as I now focus on delivering renewable solutions for a more sustainable planet.

I've made the most of the opportunities available to me, and have reacted quickly to the changing markets, adopting the latest technical developments, planning and environmental guidance, and legislation to ensure that my teams lead the way in successful and responsible project delivery.

I’ve thrived within the corporate structures of the energy giants, as well as pioneered new thinking in the entrepreneurial space of start-ups; enabling both sectors to define their challenges and transform risks into opportunities for successful project delivery, growth and positive returns for investors.

I enjoy building and working with teams; gaining personal satisfaction from harnessing their strengths and tenacity to ensure that our needs are transformed into solutions that bring benefits to the world around us.

Away from work, I have a passion for arctic environment and ski touring which keeps me training all year round. I enjoy exploring opportunities, and see the UN Sustainability Development Goals as key milestones for individuals and organisations to ensure a sustainable future for our planet.
